@Classicrow Only as a form of culling and is done by gamekeepers. Otherwise is illegal. Most venison is produced from deer farms. There is some controlled hunting on private ground.

Venison is no longer the rare meat it was years ago. It's not much more expensive than beef depending on where you live in Scotland. We're very close to a deer farm and shop. Love it!!
